Introducing the Golden Hour Collection, where each lab grown diamond used is created using 100% solar and wind power! At Jessica Flinn, we’re always looking for new ways to be greener and kinder to the planet we love so dearly. That’s why we’ve created a collection that only uses lab grown diamonds that are created using 100% renewable energies. Plus, we can now offer recycled platinum bands, too, meaning that all of the precious metals used in our rings (from this point on), are from recycled sources!

Because after all, engagement rings shouldn't cost the Earth.

We know that the gemstone industry has a bit of a bad rep, and it can seem like a bit of a minefield trying to find a diamond that’s as good to the earth as you want it to be. We already primarily use lab grown diamonds as they’re better for the environment than mined ones, as well as being more ethically sound. But we wanted to level up our sustainability game, so we’ve been exploring innovative ways to be greener and gentler to the earth. During our trip to India, we had the pleasure of visiting a diamond laboratory that harnesses the power of the sun and wind to create all their diamonds, an impressive feat by any means!

During our trip we decided that we can and will do better, so we immediately started working on our new collection and decided that we wanted to use only solar powered lab grown diamonds. These diamonds are not only made with 100% renewable energy but they also hold all the brilliance of a mined diamond, meaning they shine just as bright as those that come from the earth.

Solar powered lab grown diamonds hold exactly the same properties as regular lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds, so they visually look exactly the same, the only difference is their smaller impact on the environment. They are also just as hardy as their natural counterparts, scoring 10 on the Mohs scale. This means they’re absolutely perfect for engagement and wedding rings as they don’t scratch as easily as softer gemstones. In our commitment to sustainability, every ring in this collection is crafted not only with diamonds made using 100% renewable energy but also with recycled metals, including platinum! While we’ve predominantly used recycled gold in the past, working with recycled platinum is more challenging due to its complex nature. However, we wanted to create a collection that’s as kind to the planet as possible, so we knew that incorporating recycled platinum was key.
